Rug Buyer’s Guide

THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE BUYING RUGS:

Due to packaging and transportation volume limitations, carpets may need to be folded for shipment. As a result, slight creases or fold marks may be visible upon delivery. We kindly ask for your understanding of this before purchasing to help prevent any misunderstandings or disputes after receiving your order.

How to Remove Creases from Your Rug

When rugs are folded for transportation, temporary creases or wrinkles may appear. These are normal and can be easily reduced or removed with a few simple steps.

1. Apply Gentle Heat

  • Use a hair dryer or steamer on a low heat setting.

  • Hold it about 6–8 inches above the rug and move it continuously over the creased area.

  • Gently smooth the fibers with your hand as you apply heat.

⚠️ Avoid excessive heat, especially on synthetic fibers, as it may damage them.

2. Use Gravity and Furniture

  • Place heavy, flat objects (like furniture or books) on the creased areas.

  • Leave them for a few days to help flatten the rug evenly.

3. Unroll and Rest the Rug

  • Unroll the rug immediately after receiving it.

  • Lay it flat on the floor, preferably in a warm, dry room.

  • Allow it to rest for several days — most creases will naturally relax over time.

4. Reverse Roll Method

  • Roll the rug in the opposite direction of the crease and leave it for several hours.

  • Unroll it again — this often helps relax stubborn folds.

5. Let It Settle Naturally

  • Over time, regular foot traffic and normal use will help the rug lay completely flat.
